The proposed project comprises 21 MW of wind capacity and 21 MWp of solar capacity. The plant is proposed to meet the captive power requirements of Emmvee Energy’s manufacturing facilities in Karnataka.
The project marks K.P. Energy’s first order in Karnataka and represents its geographical expansion beyond its core markets, according to the company.
The company said the development strengthens its presence in the commercial and industrial (C&I) and group captive segment.
The LOI has been awarded by a domestic entity. The execution timeline will be in accordance with the schedule to be mutually agreed upon under the definitive agreement, as per the exchange filing.

On July 8, the firm had informed that it has successfully developed and commissioned the first part capacity of 50.4 MW of a wind power project for NTPC Renewable Energy Limited at Vanki site in Nakhatrana, Kutch, Gujarat.
The commissioned capacity comprises 16 Suzlon-made wind turbine generators (WTGs), each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW.
The project has been developed by K.P. Energy for NTPC Renewable Energy Limited. The company said the milestone reinforces its position as a wind energy EPC and O&M solutions provider.
Earlier on March 27 the firm had informed that it has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from JK Paper Ltd for the development of a 91.4 MW wind-solar hybrid power project in Gujarat.
The project will be executed on a complete turnkey basis, covering engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning, as per a regulatory filing.
The scope of work also includes development of evacuation infrastructure for grid connectivity, securing statutory and regulatory clearances, and providing operation and maintenance (O&M) services for the balance of plant of the wind component and the entire solar capacity.
