Hayden Panettiere’s ex-boyfriend Brian Hickerson was reportedly detained by police following an alleged altercation at a bar in Greenville, South Carolina. Hickerson, who was reportedly among the people present when the actress was found unresponsive, was seen in videos circulating online shouting about Panettiere while he was being handcuffed by authorities.According to reports, the incident took place over the weekend at the Wild Wing Cafe on Woodruff Road. Hickerson and his brother, Zach Hickerson, were reportedly among several people detained following the alleged altercation.

First Post reported that Hickerson was detained by the authorities after he got into an alleged bar altercation in Greenville. The alleged altercation occurred on September 12 over the weekend at the bar, where the Greenville Police Department responded to a call about the same. The incident occurred at the Wild Wing Cafe on Woodruff Road at around 9:10 PM. At the time, the outlet further revealed that both Brian and his brother Zach were present at the scene and were involved in an alleged fight with several other people. Everyone who was present there at the time and involved in the altercation was detained by the police pending further investigation into the matter.Zach Hickerson specifically was heavily drunk at the time and was seen and heard yelling profanities at everyone at the bar. He was charged with disorderly conduct and arrested,, and later taken to the Greenville County Detention Center. He was later released from the detention facility the next day in the afternoon on bond. Brian, on the other hand, was let go at the time without any charges.

The outlet further reported that many people shared that the fight occurred after some people kept on pestering the Hickerson brothers about Panetierre’s demise. This detail, however, was not included in the official police report. In many of the videos of his arrest that have found their way online, Hickerson was seen yelling about her demise; he said, “GPD leaked it when my girlfriend died.” As of right now, neither of the brothers has addressed what happened during the altercation.As for the case, Panetierre passed away on August 16, and both Hickerson brothers were directly there. They called 911 and showed the first responders a baggie of medication to them that she took. The case is still under investigation. While talking to Us Weekly, a representative from the actress’ side shared some news. She read, “Many people who were not close to Hayden are using her death as an opportunity to fuel gossip and speculation about a situation they knew very little about. It is deeply disrespectful to her memory and to those who knew and loved her and are actively grieving this tremendous loss.”Hayden passed away only a few days before her 37th birthday.
