Stunt choreographers Ram-Lakshman, who have worked on more than 250 films, have also contributed to the action sequences of Nani’s upcoming film The Paradise, directed by Srikanth Odela. The duo revealed that working on the film was significantly different from their previous projects and required them to approach the action from a fresh perspective.Speaking to Gulte Pro, Ram-Lakshman explained that the film’s setting, characterisation, body language and emotional tone meant that their years of experience could not simply be applied in the usual manner.

‘The Paradise’ was different for the stunt choreographers

According to Ram-Lakshman, The Paradise demanded a completely new approach to its action choreography because of its distinctive world and characters.“Paradise is different because all the experience we’ve gained over the years can’t really be compared to this. Paradise is new, new body language, new hero setup, new vibe, new emotional angle, and a completely new backdrop. That’s why, even after all our experience, we’re putting that aside and starting fresh like kids,” they shared. The choreographers also spoke about director Srikanth Odela’s approach to filmmaking and his attention to detail. They described him as someone who is very particular about what he wants from a scene and continues working on it until he achieves the intended result.

Korean action influence in ‘The Paradise’

Ram-Lakshman also revealed that the action sequences in ‘The Paradise’ draw influence from Korean action cinema. The duo said they personally designed two major fight sequences in the film while incorporating this style. The Korean influence is expected to give the action portions a distinct visual and choreographic identity, particularly within the film’s unusual setting and narrative world.
