NEW DELHI: Italy Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Thursday wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday, describing him as her friend and expressing hope for continued cooperation between India and Italy.In a post on X, Meloni said: “Happy birthday to my friend @narendramodi , to whom I wish health, energy, and success. Italy and India continue to strengthen their deep bond of friendship, building together a future of cooperation and prosperity for our Nations.”The Italian prime minister’s message came as PM Modi turned 76 on Thursday.India and Italy have in recent years stepped up bilateral engagement across areas including trade, technology, defence, energy and strategic cooperation.
