Sunil Singhania-led Abakkus Asset Manager files IPO papers with SEBI


Sunil Singhania-led Abakkus Asset Manager Ltd. has filed a Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to raise funds through an initial public offering (IPO).

The Mumbai-based asset management platform is among the fastest-growing India-focused asset managers in terms of non-mutual fund qualified assets under management (QAAUM).

The proposed IPO comprises an offer for sale (OFS) of 15 million shares, with a face value of ₹2 per share. The issue will include a 35% reservation for retail investors and an employee reservation.

Abakkus reported revenue of ₹479 crore and profit after tax (PAT) of ₹205 crore in FY24. Revenue rose to ₹707 crore in FY25, while PAT stood at ₹258 crore. In FY26, revenue increased further to ₹796 crore and PAT rose to ₹327 crore.

Axis Capital, ICICI Securities, IIFL Capital and JM Financial are the book-running lead managers to the issue.

Abakkus operates across four key business verticals – alternative investment funds (AIFs) and portfolio management services (PMS), registered investment advisory (RIA) and Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS), private equity, and mutual funds.

Its QAAUM stood at ₹41,409 crore as of FY26.Founded in 2018 by market veteran Sunil Singhania, Abakkus has expanded from an equities-focused platform into a multi-product asset manager spanning PMS, AIFs, private equity and institutional advisory. The company had 92 employees as of December 31, 2025.

Abakkus managed ₹40,795 crore in listed Indian equities as of December 31, 2025, according to company information.
