₹10,000 monthly SIP for 3 years: This multi-asset fund has delivered over 14% annualised return


A ₹10,000 monthly SIP in DSP Multi Asset Allocation Fund over three years would have grown to around ₹4.43 lakh, against a total investment of ₹3.60 lakh, according to Value Research data. The investment generated annualised returns of 14.02% over the period.

DSP Multi Asset Allocation Fund was launched on September 27, 2023 and had assets under management (AUM) of ₹10,989.91 crore as of August 31, 2026, according to data from DSP Mutual Fund.

The scheme delivered a 13.73% return over one year, as per the fund’s website. An investment of ₹1 lakh made a year earlier would have been worth around ₹1.14 lakh at the end of the period.

The fund invests across multiple asset classes. As of August 31, 2026, equity accounted for 57.8% of the portfolio, debt 19.3% and commodities 11.7%. Another 10.5% was classified as other investments, while arbitrage accounted for 0.8%.

Within the overall portfolio, Indian equity exposure stood at 46.2% and global equity exposure at 11.6%.

DSP Multi Asset Allocation Fund is an open-ended hybrid scheme investing in equity, debt and commodities. Its stated investment objective is to seek long-term capital appreciation through investments across these asset classes.

The fund is managed by Aparna Karnik, Shantanu Godambe and Ravi Gehani.

Among its top holdings as of August 31, 2026 were DSP Nifty 50 Equal Weight ETF at 5.6% of the portfolio, HDFC Bank at 3.5%, Axis Bank at 3.1%, ICICI Bank at 3% and Bharti Airtel at 1.9%.

The direct plan had a total expense ratio of 0.63% as of September 11, 2026.
