The e-auction concluded on September 22, 2026, and the company received the official Letter of Intent (LOI) and communication declaring it the Preferred Bidder on the same day. The composite licence is for the Kadaya Block at village Kadaya, Taluka Maliya Hatina, District Junagadh, Gujarat.
The grant of the Letter of Intent for the limestone mineral block is subject to GHCL submitting the required performance security within 45 days of being declared the Preferred Bidder.

The company said the order involves the grant of a composite licence through competitive e-auction. The entity awarding the order is a domestic entity, the Commissioner of Geology and Mining, Government of Gujarat.
GHCL said neither its promoter or promoter group nor its group companies have any interest in the entity awarding the order. The order also does not fall under related party transactions.
Last month, GHCL Ltd said the National Green Tribunal’s (NGT) Western Zone Bench, Pune, has dismissed all three appeals challenging the environmental and forest clearances for its greenfield soda ash project in Gujarat. The order was pronounced in open court on August 21, 2026, in favour of the company.

The appeals challenged the environmental clearance and forest clearance granted by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) and the State of Gujarat for GHCL’s greenfield soda ash project at village Bada, Taluka Mandvi, Kutch, Gujarat.
GHCL said the detailed judgment is yet to be uploaded on the NGT website. The company received communication from the authority on August 21, 2026.
According to the company’s disclosure, there were no violations or contraventions alleged against GHCL in the matter. The company said the appeal challenging the environmental clearance granted by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has been dismissed.
Shares of GHCL Ltd ended at ₹423.55, up by ₹3.05, or 0.73%, on the BSE.
