Paid premiere shows for the film began on Wednesday evening. According to trade estimates reported by Sacnilk, ‘The Paradise’ has collected Rs 40.86 cr through advance bookings across six show dates, including block seats. Without block seats, the advance collection stands at Rs 33.82 cr.
September 24 has emerged as the biggest contributor to the current advance figures. The opening day has already generated Rs 19.92 cr in advance bookings. Hyderabad leads the city-wise numbers with Rs 7.47 cr.
The film has recorded particularly strong demand in Telugu-speaking markets. Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are contributing significantly to its pre-release sales. North America has also registered notable demand before the movie reaches theatres.
The advance numbers have raised expectations around the film’s opening. However, the final first-day collection will depend on additional bookings and occupancy across the remaining shows. The paid premieres will also provide an early indication of audience response.
‘The Paradise’ brings Nani and Srikanth Odela together again after ‘Dasara’. Nani plays Jadal, a character from a marginalised community in 1980s Secunderabad. The story revolves around oppression, survival and the struggle for basic rights.
