Block Deals Today: Four stocks see equity worth ₹3,300 crore change hands; Details here


The spate of block deals continue across Dalal Street with four more companies seeing equity worth ₹3,300 crore change hands in large trades on Thursday, September 24. This follows another seven block deals which had taken place on Wednesday.

Bluestone Jewellery, Sedemac Mechatronics, Nephrocare Health Services and Godrej Consumer Products saw block deals take place on Thursday. The transactions took place across the pre-open block window and after market open.

Bluestone Jewellery

As many as 61.98 lakh shares, or 4.1% equity, of Bluestone Jewellery worth ₹513 crore changed hands at ₹827 per share in a block deal window on BSE on Thursday.

Prior to the block deal, sources told CNBCTV-18 on Thursday, September 24 morning that Accel India III (Mauritius) Ltd and 360 ONE AAM Funds were likely to sell up to 5.6% stake in the company for ₹728.5 crore. The floor price had been set at ₹800 per equity shares.

A lock in period of 60 days had been set on the sellers on further sale of shares, the sources added.

At the end of the June quarter, promoter entities held 16.25% stake in the company, while public shareholders held 83.75%, as per stock exchange data. Of these, Accel India II held 8.08% stake in the company.

Shares of Bluestone Jewellery were down 2.5% at ₹834 apiece just after market open on Thursday. The stock is up 75% this year, so far.

Sedemac Mechatronics

A total of 48.79 lakh shares of Sedemac Mechatronics worth ₹1,469 crore changed hands at ₹3,010 per share in block deals on Thursday.

On Wednesday, September 23, sources had also told CNBC-TV18 regarding a block deals in Sedecmac Mechatronics the next day.

As much as 10% of the existing total shares outstanding (TSO) worth ₹1,329 crore was likely to change hands in large trade, with the offer price being set at ₹3,000 per equity share, sources said.

The sellers included — A91 Emerging Fund II LLP, Xponentia Capital Partners LLP, Xponentia Opportunities Fund II, Xponentia Opportunities Ltd, Mace Pvt Ltd and HDFC Life Insurance Company, sources said.

The sellers would have a 60 day lock in period for further stake sale.

Stock exchange data revealed that at he end of the first quarter, promoter entities held 26.23%, while public shareholders comprised 73.77% stake in the company.

Public shareholders A91 Emerging Fund held 10.94% stake, Xponentia Opportunities Fund-II held 5.51%, Xponentia Opportunities Ltd held 2.25%, Mace Pvt Ltd held 4.06%, and HDFC Life Insurance Company held 2.49% stake in the company, as per exchange data.

Shares of Sedemac Mechatronics were down 1.2% at ₹2,998 per share in early trade on Thursday. The stock has declined 5% in the past month but is up over 130% from its issue price. The stock had listed in March this year.

Nephrocare Health Services

A total of 59.2 lakh shares, or 5.9% equity, of Nephrocare Health Services worth ₹419 crore changed hands at ₹708 per share via block deals on Thursday.

On Wednesday, September 23, sources told CNBC-TV18 that Nephrocare Health Services was set to witness block deals the next day.

As much as 8.9% of the company’s total equity was set change hands at up to ₹650 crore, sources said. Of this, the base offer size was up to 5.5% of total equity amounting to ₹400 crore, with an upsize option of up to 3.4% equity worth ₹250 crore.

The offer price had been set at ₹705 apiece.

Sources added that the sellers were — Investcorp Private Equity Fund II, Healthcare Parent Limited, Investcorp India Private Equity Opportunity Limited, Edoras Investment Holdings Pte Ltd, Quadria Capital India Fund III , Bessemer venture Partners Trust, Vikram Vuppala, Viraaj Family Trust and
Manvi Family Trust.

At the end of the first quarter, promoter entities held 63.85% stake while public shareholders held 36.15% stake in the company.

Promoters and promoter groups Investcorp Private Equity Fund II held 5.32% equity, Healthcare Parent held 5.8%, Edoras Investment held 28.3%, Quadria Capital India Fund held 1.88%, Bessemer Venture Partners Trust held 8.666%, Vikram Vuppala held 9.79%, Viraaj Family Trust held 1.85 crore and Manvi Family Trust held 1.77% stake in the company at the end of the first quarter, as per exchanges data.

Shares of Nephrocare Health Services were down 4.2% at ₹711 apiece at 9.34 am on Thursday. The stock is up 3.5% in the past month and up 51% in 2026, so far.

Godrej Consumer Products

As many as 1.02 crore shares, or 1% equity, of Godrej Consumer Products worth ₹900 crore changed hands at 880 per share in a block deal window on BSE on Thursday.

At the end of the June quarter, promoter entities held 53.05% stake in the company while public shareholders held 49.95%.

Shares of Godrej Consumer Products were down 0.5% at ₹975.5 apiece in early trade on Thursday. The stock has declined 6% in the past month and is down 29.6% this year, so far.
