Natco Pharma approves ₹1,279 crore rights issue – Check dates, price, entitlement ratio and more


Natco Pharma Ltd. has approved raising up to ₹1,279 crore through a rights issue at the conclusion of its board meeting on Friday, September 25.

Only eligible shareholders of the company as on the record date will be eligible to apply for the rights issue of shares. Shares currently carry a face value of ₹2 each.

Natco Pharma will be issuing 1.7 crore rights equity shares to raise the said funds, subject to full subscription of the rights issue.

The rights issue price has been fixed as ₹750 per share, which is a discount of 11% from Natco Pharma’s current market price.

A rights issue is a mode of raising funds by a company in which shares are usually issued to eligible shareholders at a discount to the current price.

Record date for Natco Pharma’s rights issue has been fixed as Thursday, October 1, 2026. This means that eligible shareholders will have to own shares of Natco Pharma in their demat account on or before September 30.

The rights issue will open for subscription on Monday, October 12, and close on October 22.

On market renunciation of shares will take place between October 12 and October 16, 2026. On market renunciation is a process where an existing shareholder sells their rights entitlement on a stock exchange instead of using them to buy shares of the rights issue.

Shareholders of Natco Pharma will be eligible to avail two rights shares for every 21 shares held as on the record date.

Shares of Natco Pharma are trading 0.2% higher on Friday at ₹843.95. The stock is still down 5% so far this year.
