Aurobindo Pharma arm Acrotech Biopharma launches ADQUEY in US dermatology market

Drug firm Aurobindo Pharma Ltd on Wednesday (September 30) said its biopharmaceutical arm Acrotech Biopharma Inc. has launched ADQUEY (difamilast 1%) ointment in the US for the treatment of mild-to-moderate atopic dermatitis in adults and paediatric patients aged 2 years and older.

ADQUEY is a non-steroidal topical phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4) inhibitor. The product will compete in a US market estimated at around $1.3 billion for the 12 months ended July 2026, according to IQVIA MAT.

The launch marks Acrotech’s entry into the US dermatology market. To support ADQUEY and its long-term dermatology plans, the company has established a dedicated dermatology business unit with commercial capabilities across marketing, sales and field-based engagement.

Ashish Anvekar, President of Acrotech Biopharma, said, “The launch of ADQUEY is an important milestone for Acrotech and marks our entry into the US dermatology market with a differentiated treatment option for patients living with atopic dermatitis.
