Avenue Supermarts Q2 business update: Revenue rises 18%, total number of stores at 518


DMart’s parent company, Avenue Supermarts, announced its business updates for the second quarter, for which the retailer reported an 18.41% jump in its standalone revenue figures.

In an exchange filing issued on October 3, the company said that its standalone revenue jumped to ₹19,206.18 crore, rising over 18.41%. This figure rose from the previous year’s revenue of ₹16,218.79 crore (YoY).
In addition, the company also added that the total number of stores as of September 30, 2026, stood at 518 stores.

Avenue Supermarts Q1 Results

Ahead of the much-awaited Q2 results, when we take a look at the company’s performance of Q1 results, the retailer giant saw net profit rise 11.3% for Q1. The Q1 profit numbers rose to ₹860.6 crore, higher than the profit figures of Q1 of FY26, when the company recorded a profit of ₹773 crore.

The DMart parent also reported a rise in revenue figures. The company recorded revenue numbers of ₹18,794 crore for the first quarter, compared to ₹16,359 crore in the previous cycle. This meant a 14.9% rise in revenue, year-on-year.

When it comes to operational profitability, the company’s margin saw a slim improvement, rising to 7.97% compared to 7.94% last year. The Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) stood at ₹1,499 crore, ahead of ₹1,299 crore in the previous fiscal.

In a sequential analysis, the fourth quarter net profit reached ₹656.6 crore, falling short of the ₹680 crore projection established by the CNBC-TV18 survey. Conversely, EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation) totalled ₹1,210.5 crore, marginally exceeding the surveyed estimate of ₹1,200 crore.

Now, when we look at the shares of Avenue Supermarts in the recent past, the company’s shares closed marginally in the green on Thursday. On Thursday, the stock opened at ₹3,809.80 against its previous close of ₹3,801.40.

During the session, it touched an intraday high of ₹3,880.00 and an intraday low of ₹3,781.40, oscillating near ₹3,813.00.

The stock has gained 1.78%, or ₹67.00, over the past 30 days. The stock is trading 17.53% below its 52-week high of ₹4,644.00. It is 8.53% above its 52-week low of ₹3,529.00. The stock has closed in the green in 4 of the last 10 trading sessions.
