Trent shares in focus after multi-quarter high revenue growth in Q2

Shares of Tata Group enterprise Trent Ltd. will be in focus on Tuesday, October 6, as the stock will be reacting to its quarterly business update which it reported after market closing hours on Monday.

In an exchange filing on Monday, Trent highlighted that it reported revenue growth of 23% year-on-year during the July-September period, which is a multi-quarter high, and only the second instance in at least the last six quarters, that the topline growth has managed to cross 20%.

Quarter Trent Revenue Growth (%)
Q1 FY26 19
Q2 FY26 17
Q3 FY26 17
Q4 FY26 20
Q1 FY27 19
Q2 FY27 23

Trent also opened its 1,000th Zudio store during the quarter. A total of 10 Westside stores, and 17 Zudio stores were opened during the quarter, according to Trent’s release.

The revenue growth during the quarter is getting closer to the 25% mark that the management had highlighted during an analyst meet at the start of financial year 2026, stating that a 25% Compounded Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) for Trent’s topline is sustainable.

Since then, the stock has repeatedly sold-off every time the company fell short of that 25% figure during its business updates.

Trent shares had declined 12% on July 7, when it had disclosed its provisional business update for the first quarter, where it had reported a revenue growth of 19%.

Shares of Trent ended unchanged on Monday at ₹2,580, but have declined in eight out of the last 10 trading sessions. The stock is down 10% so far this year.

This story will be updated with analyst recommendations.
