Fino Payments Bank September Update: Accounts opened fall 17%; average deposits rise 13%


Private lender FINO Payments Bank Ltd on Wednesday (October 7) reported a 223% year-on-year jump in loan referral disbursals to ₹278 crore in September 2026 from ₹86 crore a year ago, according to its provisional and unaudited business performance update.

Average total deposits rose 13% year-on-year to ₹2,794 crore in September from ₹2,480 crore, while renewal income increased 20% to ₹28 crore from ₹23.3 crore. The bank’s Current Account and Savings Account (CASA) base increased to 1.91 crore, according to the update.

Digitally active customers increased 13% year-on-year to 64.9 lakh from 57.3 lakh, while FinoPay active customers rose 12% to 8.1 lakh from 7.2 lakh.

Deposit accounts and renewal income

Fino Payments Bank opened 2,44,763 deposit accounts in September, down 17% from 2,94,846 accounts opened in September 2025. Renewal income increased 20% to ₹28 crore from ₹23.3 crore.

Transaction business

Transaction business throughput declined 10% year-on-year to ₹3,469 crore from ₹3,866 crore. CMS throughput increased 10% to ₹6,918 crore from ₹6,281 crore.

Digital payment services

Business-to-business (B2B) Unified Payments Interface (UPI) person-to-merchant (P2M) throughput stood at nil in September 2026, compared with ₹961 crore in September 2025.

The bank said the increase in its CASA base, growth in renewal income, progress in the CMS segment and rise in referral loan disbursals continue to reinforce its growth momentum.

Shares of FINO Payments Bank Ltd ended at ₹128.50, up by ₹0.10, or 0.078%, on the BSE.
