Jio Financial Services Limited (JFSL) on Thursday reported a 51.02 per cent year-on-year (YoY) decline in consolidated net profit for the second quarter ended September 30, 2026 (Q2 FY27), which stood at Rs 340.44 crore compared to Rs 695.04 crore posted in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year (Q2 FY26).
Despite the bottom-line pressure, total revenue from operations surged 73.15 per cent YoY to Rs 1,699.28 crore for the quarter, up from Rs 981.39 crore in Q2 FY26.
The revenue growth was primarily driven by a sharp rise in core interest income, which more than tripled to Rs 1,257.68 crore in July-September quarter of FY27 from Rs 392.37 crore in the year-ago quarter.
Fees, commission & other services grew 98.15 per cent YoY to Rs 277.09 crore compared to Rs 139.84 crore in Q2 FY26.
Total income stood at Rs 1,699.41 crore, up 69.53 per cent YoY from Rs 1,002.40 crore reported in Q2 FY26. Total expenses surged 167.09 per cent YoY to Rs 1,166.07 crore in the reporting quarter from Rs 436.50 crore, mainly on account of higher finance costs and operational scaling.
