PM-KISAN 24th instalment on October 30: What farmers can expect, who is eligible

The 24th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme will be released on October 30, from Banaskantha in Gujarat, according to a post by the Agriculture INDIA handle (@AgriGoI) on X.

The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, shared the date and location of the proposed release in its post.

The announcement does not specify the total amount to be disbursed, the number of beneficiaries or the name of the official who will release the instalment.

What can farmers expect from the 24th PM-KISAN instalment?

Under the PM-KISAN scheme, eligible farmer families receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 each. The money is transferred directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the direct benefit transfer (DBT) system.

Eligible beneficiaries can therefore expect ₹2,000 under the 24th instalment, subject to the scheme’s eligibility and verification requirements.

The previous, or 23rd, instalment was released on June 20, 2026, from Tarakeswar in West Bengal’s Hooghly district, according to the scheme’s official website. The government has not yet specified the total disbursement or beneficiary count for the upcoming instalment.

Who is eligible for PM-KISAN benefits?

The scheme provides income support to eligible farmer families who meet its prescribed conditions. Certain categories, including institutional landholders and specified higher-income or public-office-holder groups, are excluded under the scheme’s guidelines.

Beneficiaries should ensure that their electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) verification is complete. The PM-KISAN portal states that e-KYC is mandatory for registered farmers. Beneficiaries can also check their payment status and registration details through the official portal, pmkisan.gov.in.

How can beneficiaries check their PM-KISAN status?

Farmers can visit the official PM-KISAN website and use the ‘Know Your Status’ facility to check the status of their instalment and related details. They should also verify that their records meet the scheme’s requirements to avoid issues with payment processing.
