Nifty Bank fell more than 350 points to close below 54,000 marks. AU Bank, SBI, and IndusInd Bank were the three major laggards of the banking index. The Nifty Midcap 100 closed 1 per cent higher, gaining for the second consecutive day. Top gainers were Mankind Pharma, APL Apollo, and Maharashtra Bank.
