Rainbow Children’s Medicare reported a 23% year-on-year increase in revenue for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. The firm reported revenue of 548 crore, up from 444 crore same quarter last year.
EBITDA grew 14%, while profit after tax (PAT) rose 11% during the quarter. PAT came at 83.9 crore compare to 75.6 crore last year.
The company said inpatient and outpatient volumes remained healthy despite seasonal softness due to a significant shortfall in monsoon rainfall. It attributed the growth to patient volumes, improving performance across hospitals and initiatives focused on digital engagement and community outreach.
Rainbow said these initiatives are translating into higher outpatient department (OPD) footfalls and inpatient admissions.
Expansion in Andhra Pradesh
The company has commenced operations at a newly acquired 70-bed hospital in Nellore and a new 50-bed hospital in Guntur, strengthening its presence in Coastal Andhra Pradesh. These additions extend its network from Visakhapatnam to Chennai.
Rainbow also plans to establish a specialised paediatric hospital in Amaravati in phases, with an initial capacity of 150 beds. The project follows the allotment of two acres of land by the Andhra Pradesh government and is currently in the planning phase.
The company said its recently launched hospitals in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, and HRBR, Mahadevapura and Electronic City in Bengaluru are progressing as expected and have been integrated into its operating model.
Updates on upcoming projects
Rainbow expects to commence operations at its Indore hospital in Q3 FY27. At its Malad facility in Mumbai, project work has been completed and interior work is underway, with operations targeted for Q1 FY28.
Construction of its approximately 130-bed regional hub hospital in Coimbatore is progressing, with operations expected to begin in Q3 FY28. The company is also developing two facilities in Gurugram — a 125-bed spoke hospital in Sector 56, targeted for commissioning in Q4 FY28, and a 325-bed hub hospital in Sector 44, expected to begin operations in Q1 FY29.
Development work is continuing on a 150-bed regional hub hospital in Pune and an 80-bed spoke hospital in Seegehalli, both of which are expected to commence operations in FY29.
Commenting on the performance, Chairman and Managing Director Ramesh Kancharla said the expansion in Nellore and Guntur strengthens the company’s presence across Andhra Pradesh, while the proposed Amaravati hospital has moved into the project planning phase.
CEO Abarali Dalal said the company had recorded year-on-year revenue growth of more than 20% for the third consecutive quarter. He attributed the performance to the onboarding of doctors, healthy occupancy and operational efficiencies, adding that new hospitals were steadily ramping up and contributing to network growth.
Rainbow said its focus remains on improving occupancy, maintaining patient throughput and sustaining growth across mature and new hospitals.
Rainbow Children’s Medicare shares ended 2.27% higher at ₹1,224 on October 30, gaining ₹27.20.
