Pune-based SEDEMAC Mechatronics reported a 17.7% quarter-on-quarter increase in profit to ₹39.2 crore in the second quarter of FY27, from ₹33.3 crore in the previous quarter.

Revenue rose 29.3% sequentially to ₹400.6 crore from ₹309.8 crore. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 27.7% to ₹75.6 crore from ₹59.2 crore.

SEDEMAC Mechatronics FY27 outlook and business updates

SEDEMAC expects to introduce its integrated starter generator (ISG) electronic control unit (ECU) technology across variants of three popular motorcycle models. The models are among the top 10, and come from three of the top four original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

Two launches have been completed, while the third is expected in the fourth quarter of FY27.

The company also reported a full ramp-up of electric two-wheeler motor control units (MCUs) and ISG ECUs for export three-wheelers. Production of the products began in Q3FY26 and Q4FY26, respectively.

SEDEMAC flags margin pressure from costs, supply constraints

The company identified tightening semiconductor supplies and commodity price inflation as key challenges, saying they had increased raw material costs and weighed on EBITDA margins in the first half of FY27.

Higher printed circuit board (PCB) costs could put further pressure on margins. However, SEDEMAC expects EBITDA margins in the second half of FY27 to remain around H1FY27 levels.

The company also flagged the possible effects of a strong El Niño in 2026 on the Indian monsoon and the US hurricane season. It has already seen some adverse impact on its industrial EFI ECU business, which caters to the US home-standby generator market.

Shares of SEDEMAC Mechatronics closed 2.15% higher at ₹3,212 on the NSE on November 3, ahead of the earnings announcement.
