ICICI Life Insurance has launched the BSE 500 Momentum Quality 50 Index Fund, an equity fund option available under most of its unit-linked insurance plans (ULIPs).
The fund will invest in 50 companies selected from the BSE 500 universe based on two factors: quality and momentum.
The quality parameter considers financial metrics such as return on equity (RoE), debt-to-equity ratio and earnings per share (EPS), while the momentum factor tracks share-price performance over the previous 12 months.

According to the company, the fund’s portfolio will be rebalanced quarterly to reflect changes in company fundamentals and market conditions.
The underlying BSE 500 Momentum Quality 50 index has delivered returns of up to 23.7% over a seven-year period as of September 30, 2026, ICICI Life Insurance said. The company cited an illustration in which an investment of ₹1 lakh made seven years ago would have grown to ₹4.4 lakh. These are historical index returns and do not indicate future performance.
The fund will be available under most of the insurer’s ULIPs, including ICICI Life Protect N Gain, ICICI Life Signature Assure, ICICI Life Signature, ICICI Life Platinum and ICICI Life Wealth Elite Pro.
Manish Kumar, Chief Investment Officer, ICICI Life Insurance, said the fund combines financial quality indicators with share-price momentum to select companies for its portfolio.
