With Dhanteras and Diwali around the corner, fintech and investment platforms are introducing new offerings linked to gold purchases, investment plans and loyalty rewards.
The latest announcements include digital gold purchases with cashback, a low-value daily mutual fund SIP and an option to convert loyalty points into digital gold.
Here is a look at three new offerings announced on November 5.
super.money offers 3% cashback on digital gold purchases
Fintech platform super.money has launched 24-karat digital gold on its app, allowing customers to buy gold starting at ₹10. The platform is offering an assured 3% cashback on every purchase, subject to a monthly cashback cap of ₹9,000 per user.
The maximum purchase limit is ₹50,000, with users allowed to hold up to 20 grams of gold at a time. Customers can purchase digital gold through UPI, with the equivalent quantity calculated at the prevailing gold rate and credited instantly.
The digital gold is sourced and stored through SafeGold. Customers can also sell their holdings, with proceeds transferred to their registered bank accounts. The company said there are no making charges or separate storage costs.
The launch is part of super.money’s expansion beyond its UPI-led payments business. However, digital gold is not regulated by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), as disclosed by the company.
Angel One introduces ₹11 daily SIP campaign
Angel One has launched its ‘₹11 Ka Shagun’ campaign, encouraging investors to begin a mutual fund investment journey through a daily systematic investment plan (SIP) of ₹11 on its platform.
The campaign draws on the tradition of giving ₹11 as Shagun during festivals and links it to starting an investment habit. Angel One said mutual fund investments on its platform start at ₹10.
The initiative comes amid a gradual shift towards younger investors in India’s mutual fund market. According to the AMFI-Crisil Intelligence Factbook 2025, individuals aged 18-34 accounted for 22.6% of direct SIP assets under management as of March 2025.
JioFinance allows conversion of reward points into digital gold
Jio Finance Platform and Service Limited (JFPSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Jio Financial Services, has introduced a feature allowing JioFinance+ customers to convert accumulated JioPoints into 24-karat digital gold.
The points can be earned through eligible financial transactions, including UPI payments and bill payments. Each JioPoint has a redemption value of ₹0.25, and customers need at least 400 points, equivalent to ₹100, to make a conversion.
The quantity of digital gold credited is calculated using the prevailing gold price at the time of conversion. Customers can check the value of their points and the corresponding gold quantity before confirming the transaction.
The digital gold is credited to customers’ JioGold holdings, with the updated balance and transaction history available on the app. The feature is exclusively available to JioFinance+ members.
The company said the feature is intended to increase the utility of loyalty rewards by allowing customers to use points accumulated through eligible transactions to acquire digital gold.
What should customers keep in mind?
While the offerings provide different ways to access gold or begin investing, they are not identical financial products. Digital gold purchases, mutual fund SIPs and loyalty-point conversions have different structures, risks and terms.
Digital gold is not a SEBI-regulated investment product. Mutual funds, meanwhile, are market-linked investments and returns are not guaranteed. Customers should also check cashback eligibility, redemption conditions, applicable charges and other product disclosures before transacting.
