This will mark the end of the special trading day’s scheduled activities.
Why Dalal Street opens for just an hour on Diwali?
Muhurat trading is a special stock market session conducted every year on Diwali. It marks the beginning of a new Samvat, which is the Hindu calendar year used by the trading community.
The session has cultural and traditional importance, as many investors consider Diwali an auspicious occasion to begin new investments and financial activities.
While some investors purchase shares as a symbolic gesture of prosperity, others use the occasion to review their portfolios and take fresh investment positions.
However, Muhurat trading follows the same market risks as any other trading session. Investors should assess company fundamentals, valuations and their financial goals before making investment decisions.
