Caitlyn Ivey, the wife of Jaden Ivey, broke her silence on Instagram Stories, pushing back against online trolls and her husband’s claim that she had stopped communicating with him following his controversial rants on LGBTQ and Catholicism.
Caitlyn responded through a series of Instagram stories, rejecting Jaden’s claim that she had not been responding to his messages. She stated, “We were communicating all that day. People say things for attention. Do not be deceived.”
She also shared screenshots of threatening messages she had received and added, “If you know me, you know I have never abandoned that man through all the trials… and I still haven’t now.”

Jaden Ivey has become a major talking point in the NBA following a series of off-court controversies. The shooting guard went viral after delivering religious remarks on Instagram Live and making statements against the queer community, which led the Chicago Bulls to waive him.
His messy exit from the franchise has been followed by continued public criticism of the team’s decision. Ivey has also drawn attention for comments directed at several NBA players, including Stephen Curry, particularly in relation to their expressions of Christian faith.
Ivey’s statements on family
According to Complex.com, Ivey later addressed personal challenges during an Instagram Live session, speaking about strained relationships within his family. He said, “Those who are around me, those who are my family members… betraying me because of what I spoke. The truth. Saying that I’m losing my mind… that I’m crazy… My wife is in here, and she’s not even texting me.”
Following a period of relative silence, Ivey also spoke about his views on LGBTQ+ issues, stating:
“In terms of LGBTQ, I’m not against the man or the woman. I’m against what is contrary to the word of God… As long as I’m doing the will of God, abiding in Jesus Christ, that’s what matters.”
