Adani Green Energy operational capacity rises 35% in FY26; energy sales grow 34%

Adani wins US court hearing in push to throw out SEC fraud suit


Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) on Friday (April 10) said its operational capacity increased 35% year-on-year to 19.3 GW in FY26 after adding 5.1 GW of greenfield capacity during the year.

The company added 5,051 MW of greenfield capacity in FY26 compared with 3.3 GW in FY25, marking a 1.5 times increase in annual capacity addition. With the additions, Adani Green Energy’s operational capacity reached 19,294 MW.

During the year, the company operationalised 3,412 MW of solar power plants, including 2,974 MW in Khavda, Gujarat and 438 MW in Rajasthan. It also operationalised 683 MW of wind power plants in Khavda, Gujarat and 956 MW of hybrid power plants in the same location. In total, 4,613 MW of capacity was operationalised in Khavda, Gujarat, during FY26.

Adani Green Energy also operationalised battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity of 1,376 MWh in Khavda, which the company said is among the world’s largest single-location deployments. The sale of energy increased 34% year-on-year to 37,567 million units in FY26, supported by the increase in operational capacity.

The company reported a solar portfolio capacity utilisation factor (CUF) of 24.0% with plant availability of 99.2%. The wind portfolio recorded a CUF of 26.6% with plant availability of 95.6%, while the hybrid portfolio reported a CUF of 35.2% with plant availability of 98.5%.

Yesterday, Adani Green Energy said its wholly owned subsidiary, Adani Renewable Energy Middle East Ltd. (AGEL UAE), has entered into a joint venture agreement with UAE-based Minerva Holding RSC Ltd. to develop renewable energy projects in India.

The agreement, signed on April 8, will see the formation of a joint venture entity, Minerva Renewables Holding RSC Ltd., which will focus on the development, construction and operation of renewable energy projects.

Minerva is backed by EPointZero Holding RSC Ltd., the energy and infrastructure arm of International Holding Company PJSC (IHC Group), one of the largest listed companies in the UAE.

Shares of Adani Green Energy Ltd ended at ₹1,085.30, up by ₹40.75, or 3.90%, on the BSE.
