EMS Ltd has emerged as the lowest bidder (L-1) for two sewerage infrastructure projects on Friday, April 17, awarded by UP Jal Nigam (Urban) in Varanasi, with a combined order value of about ₹208.6 crore (excluding GST), according to an exchange filing.
The first contract, valued at approximately ₹143.8 crore, involves surveying, soil investigation, design, and execution of sewer network laying and household connections across five wards, Durgakund, Nariyan, Sarainandan, Jolha Northan, and Bhelupur, under a broader project covering 18 problematic wards of Nagar Nigam, Varanasi.
The second project, worth around ₹64.8 crore, covers similar work in Hukulganj and Nai Basti wards, along with the construction of a 23 MLD sewage pumping station.
Both projects are domestic turnkey contracts and are to be executed within 24 months and 18 months, respectively. The company said the contracts were awarded on standard terms, with no promoter or related-party interest involved, as disclosed in its regulatory filing.
