BSE, NSE Mock Trading Today, April 18: The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) today will carry out a mock trading session across multiple market segments, including Equity, Equity Derivatives, Currency Derivatives, Commodity Derivatives, and Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR).

The Equity segment began with a log-in window from 8:15 am to 8:45 am, followed by the Morning Block Deal Window (08:45 am – 09:00 am) and Pre-Open order entry (09:00 am – 09:08 am).

Matching Period until 09:15 am, after which continuous trading T+1 (09:15 am – 11:00 am) and T+0 (09:15 am – 10:45 am) sessions were held.

Additional activities included offer entry and matching (09:40 am – 10:40 am), Afternoon Block Deal Window (01:00 pm – 01:15 pm), and closing/post-closing sessions until 02:05 pm. Trade modification was permitted until 02:15 pm (T+1) and 01:45 pm (T+0).

Equity Derivatives Segment

Mock trading for Equity Derivatives included pre-open order entry (09:00 am – 09:07/08 am), matching (09:08 am – 09:12 am), and a buffer period until 09:15 am. Continuous trading ran from 09:15 am – 11:00 am (PR) and resumed at the DR site from 12:00 pm – 01:45 pm. Trade modification was allowed until 02:00 pm.

Currency Derivatives Segment

Currency and cross-currency derivatives were tested simultaneously. Continuous trading ran from 09:00 am – 11:00 am (PR), followed by DR site trading from 11:45 am – 01:45 pm. Trade modification for both segments was permitted until 01:55 pm.

Commodity Derivatives Segment

Commodity Derivatives mock trading was scheduled from 09:00 am – 11:00 am (PR), followed by a switchover and continued trading at the DR site until 01:45 pm. The session allowed members to test functionalities such as risk-reduction mode and trading halt scenarios.

Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR) Segment

The EGR segment included order entry (09:00 am – 09:08 am), matching (09:08 am – 09:15 am), and continuous trading (09:15 am – 11:00 am PR). A Block Deal Window (10:00 am – 10:15 am PR) was also held.

After switchover, DR site trading resumed from 12:00 pm – 01:45 pm, with another Block Deal Window (01:00 pm – 01:15 pm DR). Closing and post-closing sessions followed until 02:05 pm.
