Tata Investment Corporation reported a sharp jump in its March quarter earnings, with net profit rising 69% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹63.83 crore, compared with ₹37.72 crore in the same period last year.Revenue from operations saw an even stronger expansion, climbing 143% YoY to ₹39.98 crore from ₹16.43 crore, driven by higher dividend income and gains from investments. Dividend income stood at ₹25.54 crore during the quarter, while interest income came in at ₹9.88 crore. The company also reported a turnaround in fair value changes, posting a gain of ₹1.01 crore versus a loss of ₹21.11 crore in the year-ago period. Rental income from investment property rose to ₹3.55 crore from ₹1.25 crore.Total income surged to ₹42.16 crore from ₹16.61 crore a year earlier, reflecting strong portfolio performance. Other income also increased to ₹2.18 crore from ₹0.18 crore.On the cost front, total expenses rose modestly to ₹11.69 crore from ₹10.02 crore in the year-ago quarter. Employee benefit expenses increased to ₹5.02 crore from ₹4.06 crore, while finance costs rose to ₹0.34 crore from ₹0.06 crore. Depreciation remained largely stable at ₹0.96 crore. Total income increased to ₹403.47 crore from ₹306.22 crore, while revenue from operations stood at ₹397.34 crore compared to ₹305.08 crore in FY25.

Shares of Tata Investment Corporation surged 1.2% to ₹722 in the NSE today.
