The company’s total vehicles sales increased 15% to 1,741 units in April compared to 1,512 units in the same month last year.
Of these, its cargo vehicle sales witnessed a 5% increase to 410 units in April compared to 389 units last year.
Meanwhile, its passenger vehicle sales were up 19% in April at 1,331 units from 1,123 units in the year-ago period.
Last month, SML Mahindra reported its fourth quarter earnings, where it saw a modest rise in profit, its revenue growth remained strong and margins came under pressure.
The company’s net profit was up 2.36% at ₹54.2 crore in the fourth quarter from ₹53 crore in the previous year.
Its revenue was up 16.4% at ₹898 crore from ₹771 crore.
However, its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBTIDA) remained unchanged at ₹90.4 crore. The automaker’s margins contracted to 10.1% from 11.7% in the year-ago period.
SML Mahindra’s board also recommended a final dividend of ₹23.5 per equity share for the financial year 2026. It has set July 3 as the record date.
The company’s annual general meeting is scheduled for July 21, 2026.
Shares of SML Mahindra Ltd. ended the previous trading session 0.9% lower at ₹3,748.7 apiece. The stock has declined 5.6% in the past month.
