When can farmers expect the 23rd instalment?
The PM Kisan 23rd instalment, which covers the April–July 2026 cycle, is expected to roll out in June or July. The government announces the release date one to two weeks in advance on the official portal, pmkisan.gov.in.
How much will you get?
Under the scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 per year, distributed in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 each, credited directly to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. Simple, predictable, and middleman-free.
Once the 22nd instalment was released, the total amount transferred under PM-KISAN since its launch crossed ₹4.27 lakh crore. That’s a staggering number — and a testament to how consistently the scheme has reached grassroots India since February 2019.
More than 2.15 crore women farmers were among the beneficiaries of the 22nd instalment alone.
Don’t wait for the instalment to fix your details
This is the most important thing. eKYC is mandatory for all PM Kisan beneficiaries. Farmers who haven’t completed it may not receive the next instalment regardless of when it’s released.
There are three ways to get it done:Online — via OTP on the PM Kisan website using your Aadhaar number
Face Authentication — through the PM Kisan mobile app, no OTP or fingerprint needed.
Biometric — at your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC)
Beyond eKYC, ensure that your Aadhaar is linked to your active bank account and that your land records are up to date. These are the most common reasons payments fail — and each has a straightforward fix if caught early.
How to Check Your Payment Status
Step 1: Click on the link and visit pmkisan.gov.in
Step 2: Go to Farmers Corner and click Know Your Status
Step 3: Enter your registration number. Your full instalment history and any pending flags will show up instantly.
Step 4: You will also get an SMS on your registered mobile once the ₹2,000 enters your account.
Before the 23rd instalment rolls out, farmers are advised to check their eKYC status and bank details. Of course, keep an eye on the official portal for the announcement.
