Pace Digitek bags ₹702 crore BESS orders from DVC for Jharkhand project

Pace Digitek signs exclusive OEM pact with NEC XON for five African markets


Telecom passive infrastructure solutions provider Pace Digitek Ltd on Thursday (May 7) said it has secured Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) supply, erection and long-term operations and maintenance contracts from Damodar Valley Corporation for a 250 MW / 500 MWh BESS project at Maithon, Jharkhand.

The combined contract value stands at ₹702 crore, including GST. The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacturing-linked supply, installation, testing, commissioning and 12-year comprehensive operations and maintenance services. The project also includes associated civil, structural and evacuation infrastructure works.

The company said the contracts comprise supply, EPC services and long-term O&M agreements. The execution timeline is 18 months for supply and EPC execution, followed by 12 years of comprehensive O&M. Pace Digitek said the order marks its first BESS order win for FY2027. The company had reported energy order inflows of ₹5,814.7 crore in FY2026.

Venugopal Rao Maddisetty, chairman and Managing Director, said, “This order from DVC reinforces our position in utility-scale energy storage and the strength of our integrated model across manufacturing, EPC and lifecycle services.

As energy storage becomes central to renewable integration, we are scaling a manufacturing-led platform aligned to project execution, enabling disciplined delivery, cost efficiency and long-term asset performance. We remain focused on expanding our presence in this high-growth segment.”

Shares of Pace Digitek Ltd ended at ₹186.05, up by ₹5.95, or 3.30%, on the BSE.
