Gravita India Q4 profit slips 3%, revenue up; board okays Gujarat copper recycling plant

Gravita India reported a 3.4% year-on-year decline in net profit for the fourth quarter at ₹92 crore, compared with ₹95 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Revenue for Q4FY26 rose 13.1% year-on-year to ₹1,173 crore from ₹1,037 crore, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 22% to ₹113 crore from ₹92 crore a year ago.

The EBITDA margin improved to 9.6% from 8.9% in the year-ago period.

The company also announced the closure of subsidiary Recycling Infotech LLP.

Separately, Gravita India said it will set up a copper recycling plant at Mandvi in Gujarat with an estimated capital expenditure of ₹160 crore.

The company said the project is aimed at strategic diversification of business operations, optimal utilisation and monetisation of existing land assets, and long-term shareholder value creation.

The company added that it acquired a 98.95% equity stake in Rashtriya Metal Industries Limited (RMIL) during the year ended March 31, 2026, for an aggregate consideration of ₹559.08 crore under a share purchase agreement executed on March 12, 2026.

RMIL manufactures copper and copper alloy products and operates an integrated manufacturing facility at Sarigam in Gujarat.

Following the acquisition, RMIL became a subsidiary of Gravita India with effect from March 12, 2026, while the company said the purchase price allocation and related fair value adjustments, including goodwill recognition, have been reflected in its consolidated financial statements.

Ahead of the results, shares of Gravita India closed 0.86% higher at ₹1,810 on May 7, up ₹15.50 from the previous close.
