Arjun Rampal has opened up about Dhurandhar: The Revenge’s phenomenal box office run, saying the team is still in shock. “Way beyond anybody’s wildest dreams,” he said. The actor revealed that director Aditya Dhar has been visiting temples for peace, while Arjun himself retreated to Goa to unwind with family.

Since its theatrical release, Aditya Dhar‘s ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has been on an unstoppable run at the box office. The film, which features Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun in key roles, has broken several box office records. Riding high on its massive success, Arjun recently spoke about what the film’s extraordinary performance has meant to the entire team.

Arjun Rampal on Dhurandhar’s success

In a candid chat with NDTV, Arjun, who brought the character of Major Iqbal to life in ‘Dhurandhar 2’, could barely contain his disbelief at the film’s success. “I’m still pinching myself; you know what I mean? I think for the whole team it has been phenomenal. Way, way, way beyond anybody’s wildest dreams or imagination. It just throws you into a sense of gratitude”, he said.

Arjun also talked about how the team has been feeling since the film became such a massive hit. He said that despite the excitement, everyone is still trying to take it all in. He mentioned he has been in touch with director Aditya Dhar, and that the mood within the team has been overwhelming, with audiences showering the film with so much love. He added, “Oh yeah. They’re all dudes, man. They’re all ‘Dhurandhars’. Everybody’s in shock. There’s so much dopamine going on.”

He revealed that Aditya has been turning to temples for comfort, finding peace in spiritual spaces amid the overwhelming frenzy. Reflecting on how the film’s phenomenal run has affected the team emotionally, Arjun said the most heartening part has been watching everyone make a conscious effort to stay grounded. Despite riding an incredible high, he noted that the entire team has been seeking calm and balance rather than getting swept away by the excitement.

On a personal note, Arjun shared that he made a deliberate choice to step back and unplug after the film hit theatres. “As soon as the film released, I went back home to Goa. I’ve been with my family, spending time in nature and just being at peace,” Arjun concluded.

‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ box office collection

Directed by Aditya Dhar, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has amassed a net total of Rs 1,140.67 crore in India so far, while its worldwide gross has surged to a whopping Rs 1,791.55 crore. According to Sacnilk.com, the Indian market has contributed Rs 1,365.20 crore to the overall collection, with overseas markets chipping in an additional Rs 426.35 crore.
