Bajel Projects wins ₹200–₹300 crore 400kV transmission line order from Power Grid SPV


EPC player in power transmission infrastructure, Bajel Projects Ltd, on Wednesday (May 13), said it has secured a major EPC order for a 400kV transmission line project under the Bellary–Davanagere RE evacuation scheme, awarded by Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd through its SPV, Bellary Davanagere Power Transmission Ltd.

The contract falls in the ₹200–₹300 crore “Major Orders” category as per the company’s disclosure framework. The project involves the construction of a 400kV (Quad) double-circuit transmission line under the TL-01 package of the Bellary–Davanagere 2nd 400kV line scheme.

It is part of a renewable energy evacuation system aimed at integrating 0.25 GW at Davanagere and 2.75 GW at Bellary into the national grid, with a line length of around 70 km connecting Bellary Substation to Davanagere Substation.Also Read: Bajel Projects jumps 13% on over ₹400 crore MENA transmission order win

Bajel Projects said the execution period for the project is 21 months from the date of issuance of the Notification of Award. The company said the order is a domestic EPC contract and confirmed that neither the promoter, promoter group, nor group companies have any interest in the awarding entity.

Shares of Bajel Projects Ltd ended at ₹169.95, up by ₹2.35, or 1.40%, on the BSE.
