The LOI has been issued by the Department of Mines and Geology for limestone mining in YSR Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh, covering an area of 1,188 hectares.
The company had earlier been declared the preferred bidder for the mining lease, as intimated on March 19, 2026. JK Cement said the LOI was received on May 20, 2026, at around 5:16 pm IST.

Earlier today, JK Cement said the Madhya Pradesh government had issued a letter of intent to the firm for the mining lease of the Itauri Jharkua block.
The state government’s mineral resource department had declared JK Cement the ‘preferred bidder’ for the mining lease of the Itauri-Jharkua Limestone Block on March 19, 2026. It has now received the letter of intent for the block situation in the Itauri and Jharkua villages of the Panna district.
On another note, the company last month said it has been declared the preferred bidder in an e-auction for the mining lease of the Maliyakheri Limestone Block-I located in Chittorgah, Rajasthan.

In January this year, JK Cement announced the commissioning of a 3 MnTPA cement grinding unit at its JK Cement Works unit in Buxar, Bihar. Shares of JK Cement Ltd ended at ₹5,360.00, down by ₹69.30, or 1.28%, on the BSE.
