The Kansas City Chiefs’ star player, Rashee Rice, has been ordered to seve jail time for 30 days until 16th June as he violated his probation related to his 2024 multi vehicular crash which left multiple people injured.While Rashee Rice has also been tested positive for THC, it seems the star player had some health concerns before he went to jail.
Rashee Rice had surgery just days before he went to jail as the Chiefs remain distant
A few hours ago, as per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the 25 year old wide receiver Rashee Rice had surgery recently to remove loose debris in his right knee that was causing inflammation. As per reports, the surgery was done just a week before he went to jail for 30 days. The surgery was done in Dallas as Rashee Rice is expected to be sidelined for two months, ahead of the upcoming season. While the Kansas City Chiefs have maintained their fair share of distance from addressing the drama, it has sparked outrage among fans.A fan took to X and posted, “The Chiefs coaching staff has a terrible read on its own guys. They put all their trust in this guy for 2026. The roster management around Mahomes the past three years has been absolute incompetence.”Another fan wrote, “You have got to be kidding me?! What TF was wrong with Jan – Mar when is most go in to get the cleanups done? This dud clearly was planning and/or hoping to miss OTAs, Mini and possibly a portion of TC!”A third fan posted, “Mahomes could have made him easily one of the all-time greats of the Chiefs, instead he does stupid things…”, while another fan joked, “Serving your jail time while you’re already injured is actually a genius use of your time.”For now, Rashee Rice’s team has not issued an official statement on the mess as his family remains silent.
