Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ is set for a four-way box office clash on June 12 with Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ and two other films. Reacting calmly, Imtiaz said, “We announced first. But if that is going to be the case, then so be it.”

Imtiaz Ali‘s ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ was the only film set to release on June 12, 2026 when its date was first announced. But things have changed since then and three more films have now chosen the same release date, making it a four-way clash at the box office. Kangana Ranaut‘s ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’, Manoj Bajpayee’s ‘Governor: The Silent Saviour’, and Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past’ will all be releasing on June 12.

Imtiaz Ali reacts calmly to ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ box office clash

Talking to The Free Press Journal about the four-way clash on June 12, Imtiaz kept his cool and gave a very honest answer. He admitted that such things are not always in anyone’s control and revealed that he was hearing about the other releases for the very first time. “These things are not in control. We announced first. Usually, in the film industry, there’s a kind of bhaichara like ‘meri film aarahi hai toh tu mat aa, next baar aaja’ and that kind of thing, and it usually works. This is the first time I am hearing that other movies are also coming out on that day. But, if that is going to be the case, then so be it”, he said.He further said, “There are only 52 weeks, and there are more than 52 films that are released every year. So, this is bound to happen.”

‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ trailer receives overwhelming response

Earlier this week, the trailer of ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ was unveiled at a grand event in Mumbai, and the response from audiences has been overwhelmingly positive. The performances of Naseeruddin Shah, Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari, and Vedang Raina have already got everyone talking, making the film one of the most eagerly awaited releases of the season.

‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ music lives up to the hype

The music of ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ has only added to the excitement surrounding the film. With the legendary trio of Imtiaz Ali, AR Rahman, and Irshad Kamil joining forces once again, expectations for the soundtrack were always going to be sky-high. And so far, the music has more than lived up to the hype. Three songs, ‘Kya Kamaal Hai’, ‘Maskara’, and ‘Vo Nahin’, have already been released.
