A monthly SIP of ₹10,000 in Tata Money Market Fund since inception would have accumulated to ₹63.15 lakh on a total investment of ₹27.4 lakh, translating into a SIP return of 6.71%, the fund house said.
The performance compares with 6.93% for the CRISIL Money Market A-I Index and 6.18% for the CRISIL 1-Year T-Bill Index.
As of March 31, 2026, a ₹10,000 monthly SIP over 20 years would have grown to ₹49.05 lakh on an investment of ₹24 lakh, delivering a return of 6.65%. Over five years, SIP returns stood at 6.88%, while the three-year SIP return was 7.04%.
Launched on May 22, 2003, Tata Money Market Fund invests in money market instruments and is managed by Amit Somani, who has been overseeing the scheme since October 2013.
The fund house said the scheme is suitable for investors seeking regular income over the short term through money market instruments. It added that past performance may or may not be sustained in the future, and mutual fund investments are subject to market risks.
