Bharat Electronics wins additional defence orders valued at ₹608 crore

BEL bags orders worth ₹569 crore at start of FY27


State-run defence electronics company, Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL), on Monday (May 25), said it has secured additional orders worth ₹608 crore since its last disclosure on May 5, 2026.

The Navratna defence public sector undertaking said the major orders received include communication equipment, avionics, information fusion centre, coastal surveillance radar systems, seekers, jammers, tank sub-systems, laser-based fuzes, simulators, medical electronics, batteries, spares and services.

Last month, Bharat Electronics secured fresh orders worth ₹569 crore, marking the beginning of order inflows for the FY27.

In an exchange filing, the defence PSU said the orders span a range of products and systems, including avionics, electronic warfare (EW) systems, high-energy lasers, communication equipment, tank sub-systems, laser-based fuzes, as well as test equipment, upgrades, spares and services.

The company said the orders reflect continued demand across its core defence electronics and systems portfolio. For FY26, it had secured orders worth ₹30,000 crore, including export orders of $346 million, and export sales for the year grew 33.6% to $141.9 million.

The latest order wins come at the start of the new financial year, providing early visibility on BEL’s order pipeline and execution outlook. The company’s total order book stood at around ₹74,000 crore as of April 1, 2026.

Shares of Bharat Electronics Ltd ended at ₹421.75, up by ₹5.20, or 1.25%, on the BSE.
