The tool is available 24×7 and can explain processes such as filing returns, understanding updated provisions, and navigating forms. Officials said it is designed to help users access information without relying solely on in-person support.

PRARAMBH 2026 is a government initiative to raise awareness about changes in the tax system, which came into effect on April 1.
The programme is being conducted through multiple channels, including print, radio, television, digital platforms, and social media. It also includes workshops and simplified guidance material to help taxpayers understand the new rules and compliance requirements.
CBDT Chairman Ravi Agrawal said PRARAMBH stands for “Policy Reform and Responsible Action for Mission Viksit Bharat” and described the initiative as a “citizen-first” effort to reduce confusion and disputes while encouraging voluntary compliance.
A notable change under the new tax regime is the simplification of processes.
Officials have stated that the number of tax rules has been reduced, and forms have been cut by nearly half, a measure intended to make compliance less complex for taxpayers.
