NEW DELHI: Two people died after a DTC bus hit an e-rickshaw and then rammed into several other vehicles in Outer Delhi’s Nangloi on Monday. The incident occurred around 9:45 am when a DTC cluster bus, DL 1 PD 6223, coming from the Najafgarh side, struck a scooty, a bike, a hand rickshaw, and pedestrians on Najafgarh-Nangloi Road. The police arrived within 5–10 minutes and brought the situation under control.

The deceased have been admitted to SGM Hospital and Maharaja Aggarsen Hospital, Punjabi Bagh, while a female injured is undergoing treatment at Mansa Ram Hospital, Nihal Vihar.Following the accident, around 500 residents gathered and set the bus involved on fire. Another DTC bus, DL 1 PD 5674, coming from the Nangloi side, was also found burnt.The driver of the bus has been detained, and DTC officials reported that five other buses suffered minor damage while on the route, though they were not at the accident spot.The situation is now under control, and legal action is being taken as per the law.
