The ripple effects could extend to food delivery platforms as well. Analysts at Elara Capital estimate that a prolonged LPG crunch could result in a 10–20 per cent drop in order volumes on apps such as Zomato and Swiggy over the next couple of weeks, as reduced menus and restaurant shutdowns limit options for consumers. To retain demand, platforms and restaurants may roll out aggressive discounts, though this could weigh on profitability. Street estimates suggest a potential 7–8 per cent downside to EBITDA for delivery players if the disruption persists.
