On Friday, Twenty‑four carat gold was priced at Rs 1,43,715 per 10 grams in the morning, easing slightly to Rs 1,42,940 per 10 grams by evening. Similarly, 23 carat gold declined from Rs 1,43,140 to Rs 1,42,370 per 10 grams. In contrast, prices for lower purities rose during the day, with 22 carat gold increasing sharply from Rs 1,31,643 in the morning to Rs 1,39,510 per 10 grams in the evening. Eighteen carat gold also recorded a notable rise, moving from Rs 1,07,786 to Rs 1,15,780 per 10 grams, while 14 carat gold climbed from Rs 84,073 to Rs 92,200 per 10 grams by evening.
Gold prices are broadly uniform across cities, with minor variations. Chennai shows the highest rates, while Mumbai and Bengaluru are slightly lower, reflecting marginal regional pricing differences driven by local demand and logistics.
In Chennai, 24‑carat gold is priced at Rs 1,47,460 per 10 grams, while 22‑carat and 18‑carat gold stand at Rs 1,35,300 and Rs 1,22,000, respectively. Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kochi, and Hyderabad report similar rates, with 24‑carat gold at Rs 1,47,710, 22‑carat gold around Rs 1,34,650 (Rs 1,32,260 in select cities), and 18‑carat gold at Rs 1,10,530 per 10 grams. In the national capital Delhi, gold is marginally higher, with 24‑carat selling at Rs 1,46,860, 22‑carat at Rs 1,34,800, and 18‑carat at Rs 1,10,680 per 10 grams. Patna also records slightly elevated prices, where 24‑carat gold is priced at Rs 1,46,760, 22‑carat at Rs 1,34,700, and 18‑carat at Rs 1,10,580 per 10 grams, reflecting regional demand and local market factors.
