The fund, InCred Special Opportunities Fund-I (ISOF-I), is a Category II, close-ended Alternative Investment Fund (AIF). It received commitments from a mix of domestic family offices, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, and international investors.
According to the company, the fund will focus on investments in traditional sectors with tangible asset backing and stable cash flows, while aiming to build downside protection into deal structures. Around 75% of the corpus has already been deployed across sectors including automobiles, power, oil and gas, and hospitality.
With the closure of ISOF-I, InCred Alternatives said it has raised more than ₹4,000 crore across its performing credit and special situation funds since launching its private credit strategy in 2022.
Company executives said the fundraise reflects growing participation in India’s private credit market, which is still at a relatively early stage of development compared to Western markets. They added that the segment is seeing a supply-demand gap in capital, creating opportunities for structured credit strategies.
InCred Alternative Investments is part of InCred Capital and manages alternative investment strategies through structures such as the InCred Alternative Opportunities Trust, a SEBI-registered Category II AIF.
