Larsa Pippen, ‘The Real Housewives of Miami’ star and a mother to an NBA player Scotty Pippen Jr., became the victim in an attempted break-in of her multimillion-dollar mansion in Pinecrest, South Florida, on Sunday, March 30, 2026, when three men tried to break into the residence, crashing several windows.
The break-in attempts
NBC News reported that authorities were first sent to the scene at 67th Avenue and 113th Street in Pinecrest because a house alarm sounded. On their way they were told that a surveillance video revealed that there was a burglary in progress at the address.
TMZ states that the three men broke the house’s windows but failed to enter the premises, where they then fled the scene in a car. Fox News termed that Pippen was not at her home on the moment but had observed in real time the whole situation on her surveillance cameras mounted at her home as the police were being deployed to respond to the alarm.
The arrest
Eventually, the police reached on the location and found the suspects in their car which later crashed on the intersection of Southwest 57th Avenue and 94th Street, as reported by NBC News. The suspects left the car and got on foot into a neighbourhood that was still in the residential area.
A K-9 unit spotted one of the suspects lying on a yard nearby and a second ran through 57th Avenue and jumped into a canal, and a third was caught in bushes of a neighbour by a local resident who contacted police.
According to FoxNews Pinecrest Police Chief Jason Cohen, who himself arrived at the scene, reported that the police believed the three travelled directly between Georgia and the home of Pippen. He added, “They came out of Georgia and it appears to go right to this house.”
Suspect’s identity
According to Us Weekly, the three men who were the suspect are identified as 23, Treison Lachae Booker, Cortez Daymon Johnson, 23; and Elijah Eugene Russell, 18. All three were accused with burglary of an empty dwelling, and two of them have one more accusation of criminal mischief, and one of them was accused of violence with an officer. The three men have been detained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on bond of between 7500-8000 dollars no injuries were reported in the incident and the damage caused to the property by Pippen is approximated to be at 1000 dollars, according to complex. NBC News reported, the Pinecrest Police Department in a public release indicated “This incident is one that will teach a lesson to people to understand that Pinecrest will not tolerate criminal acts.”
