Indian equity benchmark indices closed in the green territory today, March 17, extending gains from the previous session as investors increasingly hoped for the resumption of traffic through the Strait of Hormuz after prolonged closure.
The 30-share BSE Sensex gained 567.99 points or 0.75 per cent to close at 76,070.84, while the NSE Nifty50 rose 172.35 points or 0.74 per cent to end at 23,581.15, respectively.
