UPSC CSE 2025 marks: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the marks of recommended candidates for the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2025, providing the detailed score distribution of the top performers in the final merit list.The results follow the written examination conducted in August, 2025 and the Personality Test interviews held between December, 2025 and February, 2026. A total of 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and various Central Services in Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.Marks of top ten recommended candidatesThe commission has published the written examination marks, Personality Test marks and final total scores of the leading candidates in the merit list.

Anuj Agnihotri secured the highest final score of 1071 marks, comprising 867 marks in the written examination and 204 marks in the Personality Test.Category-wise recommendations and vacanciesAccording to the official notification issued through the Government of India’s Press Information Bureau, the 958 recommended candidates include 317 from the general category, 104 from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 306 from the Other Backward Classes (OBC), 158 from the Scheduled Castes (SC) and 73 from the Scheduled Tribes (ST).The total also includes candidates under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) categories. Among them, 10 candidates fall under PwBD-1, 14 under PwBD-2, nine under PwBD-3 and nine under PwBD-5.The government had reported 1,087 vacancies across services through the examination cycle. These include 180 posts in the IAS, 55 in the IFS and 150 in the IPS.Central Services Group ‘A’ account for 507 vacancies, while Group ‘B’ services include 195 posts.Reserve list and verification processUnder Rule 20(4) and Rule 20(5) of the Civil Services Examination Rules 2025, UPSC has maintained a consolidated reserve list of 258 candidates.The reserve list includes 129 candidates from the general category, 26 from EWS, 86 from OBC, eight from SC and six from ST categories, along with three candidates from PwBD categories.UPSC stated that the candidature of 348 recommended candidates remains provisional pending verification procedures, while the results of two candidates have been withheld.
