Dividend Stock 2026: Shares of a paint stock, a constituent of the BSE 200 index, might remain in focus in the upcoming days as it has today, June 24, announced a 400 per cent dividend for its shareholders.
The stock under discussion is Berger Paints India Ltd. Shares of Berger Paints on Wednesday, June 24, ended at Rs 531, down Rs 15.05 or 2.76 per cent from the previous of Rs 546.05, on the BSE.
“The Board at its Meeting held on 12th May, 2026 had recommended a Dividend of Rs. 4 (i.e 400%) per equity share of Re 1/- each fully paid-up of the Company for the financial year ended on 31st March, 2026 subject to approval of the Members at the 102nd AGM to be paid to those Members as on 12th August, 2026, and holding shares in physical form and whose names appear in the Register of Members as on 12th August, 2026 and holding shares in electronic form, to those whose names appear in the list of beneficial holders furnished by the respective depositories as at the end of business hours on 5th August, 2026,” Berger Paints said in a regulatory filing.
Berger Paints India has fixed Wednesday, August 5, 2026, record date for determining the entitlements of the shareholders for payment of the dividend payout.
“…the Record Date for determining the entitlements of the shareholders for payment of aforesaid dividend shall be Wednesday, 5th August, 2026. The Register of Members and the Share Transfer Registers of the Company, will remain closed from Thursday, 6th August, 2026 to Wednesday, 12th August, 2026 (both days inclusive) for the purpose of the 102nd AGM and payment of dividend,” the company added in the filing.
Berger Paints Dividend 2026 payment date
The payment date for the payment of the dividend has been fixed on Friday, August 21, 2026.
“Dividend on Equity Shares, if declared, at the 102nd AGM will be paid on Friday, 21st August, 2026 to those Members who are entitled thereto,” the exchange filing mentioned.
Berger Paints Dividend History
Berger Paints India Ltd has been paying consistent dividend to its shareholders. The company paid a dividend of Rs 3.80 in August last year. In 2024, it paid Rs 3.50 as dividend while in 2023, Berger Paints distributed a cash reward of Rs 3.20 per share for its shareholders, respectively.
