This railway station is not just an architectural wonder; it is also India’s highest railway station, at an elevation of 2,258 metres above sea level. The renowned Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, popularly known as the “toy train”, arrives at this station. Considering the history of the station, there is a Ghum Railway Museum, which features vintage railway memorabilia, historical photographs, and the preserved Darjeeling Himalayan Railway engine named Baby Sivok.
