The Commission has scheduled meetings with Delhi-based stakeholders on August 7 and August 10. Employee groups that have submitted their memoranda but have not interacted with the Commission earlier in Delhi or any state/UT can seek an appointment for the discussions.
The consultation process will also extend to other parts of the country.
The Commission has announced visits to Jaipur, Rajasthan on August 31 and September 1; Chennai on September 7 and 8; Puducherry on September 9; and Chandigarh on September 16, 17 and 18.
Stakeholders seeking interactions during these visits have been asked to submit appointment requests along with their unique Memorandum ID within the deadlines specified by the Commission.
The 8th Central Pay Commission is gathering views from employee groups as part of the process before preparing its recommendations on pay structure, allowances and other service-related matters for central government employees and pensioners.
The Commission has said that more meetings in Delhi and other states and Union Territories will be announced in the coming months.In a separate development, the Railway Senior Citizens Welfare Society (RSCWS) has submitted its memorandum to the 8th Central Pay Commission, outlining suggestions on pay structure, allowances, retirement benefits and welfare measures.
In its submission, the pensioners’ body highlighted that changes in the pay structure have a direct impact on pension, as retirement benefits are linked to the last drawn pay or notional pay under the Pay Matrix. It said the revised framework should ensure fairness for both serving employees and pensioners.
