The company said the integration allows users to discover properties, refine preferences and compare options through conversational interactions. The move comes as companies across sectors explore generative artificial intelligence tools to improve customer discovery and engagement.
According to Housing.com, users can now search for properties on ChatGPT by describing their requirements in everyday language, with the platform surfacing relevant listings and options based on those inputs.
The launch reflects a broader trend of businesses adapting their services to AI-powered interfaces as consumers increasingly use conversational tools to find information, products and services online.
Praveen Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of REA India, the parent company of Housing.com, said the company is investing in technology aimed at simplifying different stages of the property search process. He said the ChatGPT launch is part of the firm’s efforts to expand AI-led experiences for home buyers and renters.
Housing.com, which was founded in 2012 and acquired by REA India in 2017, operates a digital real estate platform offering residential and commercial property listings across multiple Indian cities. The company provides services to buyers, renters, homeowners, developers and brokers.
The announcement adds to the growing use of generative AI across the real estate sector, where companies are experimenting with conversational search, recommendation engines and virtual property discovery tools to improve user experience.
